New track: Stepping

Let's take a lil peek at what goodies Herräng 2026 brings. Besides the banana bread and usual amazing times we give you many different classes in lindy hop, balboa, tap, solo jazz and street dances. But this year we're also having (ta-daa) S T E P P I N G !

Stepping is an energetic and powerful Afro-American form of body percussion, all about collective energy and unity. Steppers are both musicians and dancers at the same time, creating intricate rhythms and sounds with their hands, feet and voice. Stepping carries deep cultural significance. It can also be seen in contemporary dance - yes, like when Beyoncè did some stepping in one of her Coachella performances. Now you can try it too. We're so pumped to have a whole track dedicated to it!

Classes are led by amazing dancer Briana Ashley Stuart. Originally from Detroit (USA) but now based in Brussels (Belgium), she continues to inspire and empower the world of dancers. Overall this track will emphasize moving and creating music together, learning about the tradition of stepping within African American history and culture.

We’re also bringing back the Xperience, the Ramble and the 3-in-1 tracks, as well as a bunch of Saturday Specials and Evening Classes. The popular Roots and Rhythms is returning. There's more good stuff on the stove, ready to be served to you hot. And soon.
