Info
At camp, we will try to make everyone feel at home, but you can ensure your own comfort by bringing your own home. We can provide you with a caravan camping area where you can park your caravan, but we do not rent out the caravans themselves.
Three main campgrounds are offered:
School area: Located more or less in the middle of where the action is, this is the only one equipped with electricity for a fee. It also has bathrooms and showers in the general vicinity.
Malmen Sports Ground: It is located in a more peaceful environment, approximately 300 metres from the School Area. It does not offer electricity services.
Important note for 2026: There will be NO electricity or drinking water available at Malmen Sports Ground this year. The water is unsafe for washing dishes and drinking. If you stay at or near Malmen, please use the facilities in the school area (in the gym, school, and outside the laundry area.)
The Factory: These camping pitches with electricity are primarily reserved for beginner weekend participants. They are quite calmer than the School area and do provide electricity. However the closest facilities (showers and toilets) are about 200 metres away from the Marina and 300 metres away from the School area.
Please note, very important information for all caravan users!
- No caravans will be allowed into the School Area Camping Ground before 12.00 on Saturday, 4th of July.
- On arrival, before locating your camping spot, please avoid parking your vehicle in a way that obstructs traffic in any areas of the village. Take a look at the designated parking areas on our map.
- Bring your own fire extinguisher and automatic smoke detector.
- Please ensure that your caravan has undergone an electrical inspection and is in good condition before arriving in Herräng. If your caravan causes a ground fault in our electrical junction boxes, we will charge you 1000 SEK for troubleshooting and may disconnect your caravan from the box.
- Note that we cannot assist with fixing electrical problems inside individual caravans.
- Bring your own outdoor extension cable with a Schuko plug to connect your caravan to our electrical junction boxes. The cable should be at least 25 metres long, and must be one intact cable length (not multiple connected cables) without any damage.
- Unoccupied caravans are not allowed in the School Area Camping Ground. Empty caravans will be removed to Malmen Sports Ground.
- Once you have found your camping spot and may need electricity, please contact our reception for payment and further assistance.
Booking
- As the number of caravan spots is limited, please make sure to pre-book it in your My Herrang account.
- Please choose "Tent/Usage of HDC facilities" on My Herräng when registering for a course or a party pass
Instructions on arrival
- School area and The Factory:
On the 4th of July at 12:00, our camping representative, the lovely Camping Mama, will join you at the School Area and will take care of distributing the spots. It is important that you come by foot; please don’t bring your caravan. Park it temporarily at the Malmen Sports Ground until you are assigned a spot at the School Area (see map).
The camping representative will try to respect your wishes for a certain spot but will also have to allocate the caravan spots logically. We hope for your understanding if we need to assign you a different spot than you might have wished for. Please make sure to be there on time since no latecomers will be given any priority.
- Malmen Sports Ground:
This area is located on the left side, just before Malmen Sports Ground. No pre-booking procedure exists. Instead, please find a spot in the area and then park your caravan accordingly.

How to book
If you have made up your mind about what accommodation style suits you best, it is time to book your stay. All the information you need to book your accommodation smoothly can be found under each category above.
All accommodations are primarily for guests taking classes or enjoying party passes during any given week.
General visitors can only be offered space once all class takers and party pass holders have checked in.
You will only be able to book your accommodation once you are no longer on the waiting list.
If you stay in General Accommodation or in any of our camping grounds, please respect and care for each other as well as the local Herrängers when it comes to sound levels. Expect someone to be asleep at all times.
Let’s say Herräng Dance Camp stole your heart and you wish to prolong your stay for another week. Then, make sure to check with reception if any spots are still available, Friday evening at the latest. In the case your time to leave has arrived, check-out time is on Fridays from 17:00 until 19:00 and Saturdays between 9:00 and 10:00.

More amenities
Life at camp and what it has to offer
Toilets
There are toilets spread throughout the camp, conveniently located near the sleeping areas and Folkets Hus. Most are gender-neutral individual rooms that offer plenty of privacy, and a few follow the gendered stall style. They are cleaned multiple times a day to ensure good hygiene at camp. Please let us know if the toilet paper is running low — we want only positive experiences in the loo!
Showers
Various types of showers are available at the camp.
- Communal showers
The School Area residents use the gym showers, which resemble typical sports premises communal showers and are separated by gender. Additional communal showers can be found in the Folkets Hus area for those staying at the Woodside private accommodation rooms. - Private showers
However, if you are not keen on sharing the space with other people, you can also find some private showers – they are located in the back of Pavilion in the School Area, the Woodside building and at the Marina general accommodation building.
Iron
Are you all showered and hyped for the evening, but your favourite shirt is all wrinkled? Do not fret, you should be able to find an iron or two in the hallways of the School Area. Please take good care of them, as many people depend on them to look their best every day!
Sauna
If your legs are feeling a bit heavy, there is nothing better to ease your muscles than to spend some time in the traditional Swedish sauna. It is located in a red building in the School Area. The timetable includes female-only, male-only, and mixed time slots.
Pamper yourself
Do you want to fix your hair or makeup? The red sauna building in the School Area also offers a room by the entrance with a mirror where you and your friends can get ready for the evening.
Banana Club
Banana Club is the perfect space to chill on your own, with your computer, or with your friends. This cosy room with couches, tables and electrical sockets is the ideal hideaway for the rainy days. Don’t forget to bring your own plug adapter if you come from outside the EU!
