Zeng Weiming

In 2007, as a saxophone player in a big band in Beijing, Zeng Weiming encountered swing dancing. In 2008, he officially became the first native Chinese person to teach the dance. His first trip to Herrang in 2012 inspired him to work on helping this seemingly distant culture take root within China.
Today, he runs China’s first full-time swing dance studio (Cat’s Corner Beijing), organizes international exchanges that draw in dancers across Asia and beyond, hosts the biggest Lindy hop competition in China (China Lindy Hop Championships), and cultivated China’s first generation of professional and semi-professional dancers. A Frankie Manning Ambassador, he leads students to complete challenges with unique personal charm, endless passion, and a willingness to share with and help dancers facing difficulties in various stages of their dance journeys.
