Csilla has Hungarian origins but grew up in Hällabrottet, Sweden - a place not much bigger than Herräng - and has been dancing different styles since the age of 12. As a teenager she came across traditional West African dancing, that she also started to teach herself after a few years, sometimes together with a live musician. As a university student she fell in love with early jazz music that was played by live bands at student parties, even though she - just as most people at those parties - didn’t know how to lead or follow. When she took her first Lindy Hop class in 2013 all pieces fell into place. She came to Herräng for the first time the same year and fell instantly in love with Collegiate Shag and Balboa, that have been her main dances since then. She is equally passionate about the subtlety of balboa, playing with rhythms and weight shifts, as she is about inspiring others to learn and develop. She lives in Stockholm since 2010 and is mainly teaching at Swedish Swing Society.
