Anastasiia received a very mixed education of hardcore math and classical music training, but she has found her true love in jazz music and its cultural approach. Every day she expresses this love through educating herself, listening, dancing, making music, researching, performing and creating choreographies. She puts her energy in learning from art and life of Harlem musicians and dancers, as well as from established researchers and educators on Black history.
Her main focus in classes is helping dancers find their way of self-expression through rhythms and movements while staying connected to the legacy of the original jazz dancers. Respect the dance, respect the culture and be yourself – that is her motto.
