Alex was introduced to lindy hop and other vernacular dances in 2007, which turned his rather ordinary post-graduate life upside down. Since then the journey for learning "the real deal" began and never really stopped. Alex travelled across Europe and the United States, seeking every bit of knowledge on swing jazz music and dances of the era, while advocating for the legacy and historic importance of black arts in the first half of the 20th century.
Today, Alex lives in Brussels, Belgium where he teaches next to his partner Olga and works with many talented international dancers contributing to the artform. In his classes Alex emphasizes speaking the language of jazz in dancing, expressing a person's individuality and creating joyful communication between dance partners through music and rhythm.
