This program was introduced already a few years ago but on a short weekend basis; this year as well as last year, the program will appear in a one week full time context. News this year is that the course has both a singing teacher and a dance teacher. The aim of the course is to fully link singing and dancing into one thing rather than two separate things: the singing part will link throughout with swing movement and rhythmics, and the dance part will be looked upon from a perspective of our ability to create music and rhythm.
This year the classes are split between singing and dance classes, although the two teachers will interlink their material in a few classes led by them both. The singing part of the program takes inspiration from three-part-harmony jazz vocals, Hollywood musicals, and gospel harmony, while the dancing part links with general solo jazz as well as rhythmical chorus line dancing.
