Ramble Track

On public request and by public demand: a combined track following the five basic themes of our highly profiled night-time party dance floor, The Ramble: expect early jazz dances (Ragtime, New Orleans, Charleston, Slow Drag, Rhythm 'n’ Blues, Bebop and Latin Swing et cetera). They all come from the family of jazz and are primarily social couple dances in the old-school tradition. This program offers a serious overview around the Ramble themes, designed for a mixed level of experiences.

Ramble Track Alternatives:

The level for this track is rather broad: while a background in the Ramble dances is not needed or expected, the majority of students in this program will probably be Lindy Hoppers who are comfortable with the Lindy Hop basics, ideally with several years' worth of experience. The Ramble program is designed to push you into new territory, expanding into the roots and branches of several dances and styles related to old-school swing. Beyond new steps and techniques, this program will also help you gain more confidence expressing yourself around music that is on the outskirts of old-school swing.
