The history and old-school execution of vernacular jazz dancing is naturally the foundation of what the different jazz dance scenes of today represent. Accordingly and since Herräng has a self-imposed mission to represent a natural link between the past and the present, the event is somehow surronded by film clips, presentations, lectures, documentaries as well as many special guests. Most of the time all these activities take place in addition to all the regular classes, but sometime they are a part of the individual programs.
