Depending on the number of participants there, they might have two separate intermediate levels (A and B).  Your first audition is with your peers, which means that you are ranking each other.  You dance with one person and they score you and you score them.  You rotate to the next person and dance with them.  Repeat scoring process.  You do this at least 3 times.  They take the total score and rank everybody.

On the second day, you go in with your group (A or B) and audition in front of the instructors.  You dance and rotate at least 3 times again.  If the instructors think that you shouldn't be in the group that you are assigned, then they move you over to the other group.

Group A is the intermediate/advanced group and Group B is the intermediate group.  Not much difference in what you are taught in the two groups since you are learning the exact same thing but your partners are more at your level.
