Childcare in week 4

Mon, 09/06/2014 - 22:05 -- hdc848836

We are coming to Herrang for the first time, and are bringing our kids with us (they are 9 and 7 years old). As we will be there in week 4, there will be no courses for kids (which are normally only organized during weeks 1-2). We heard from various people that there are always kids in Herrang and their dancing parents seem to find a way to self-organize, and they all seem to get by somehow.

We would like to ask other people with kids the following questions:

1. If you have been to Herrang with your children previously, how did you arrange yourselves around parental duties and class attendance? Any input and ideas will be highly appreciated.

2. If you are coming to Herrang in week 4, would you be interested in joining us and other parents to self-organize the daycare/entertainment for the children during the classes? If so, please get in touch with us!

Thanks a lot in advance!

Best regards,

Romi and Vladimir

Hi Romi and Vladimir,

Rest assured, there are always kids in Herrang, and everyone seems to get by and have a great time! If you would be interested in arranging childcare, I will be at the camp all summer and happy to help. I've spent the last couple of years working in youth entertainment for Disney Cruise Line, and I have past experience working in camps and daycares with children of all ages. I'm not planning to take classes, so I will be available to take care of the children during classes, as well as evenings. Please feel free to get touch with me at herrangchildcare@gmail.com for more information.

Hi Anna,

I should be able to help during Week 3. What language(s) does your daughter speak? My English and Spanish are both pretty strong, and I know small snippets of some other languages. I spent the last couple of years working with children on a cruise ship, and many of our guests didn't speak English, so I've gotten pretty good at getting stood the language barrier. If you're taking classes, I can be available during the day, as well as in the evenings. I don't have a specific price; I leave that up to you to decide. Please let know if you would like my help.

I am coming to Herräng with my two daughters, 4,5 and 9 years old, week two for swing kids, the other weeks for social dancing and, if possible, classes.

I am looking for other single moms to alternate with, if the children get along well:)

Please contact me at ewkamalm@gmail.com if you are interested! My children speak Swedish and Italian.
